True Worshippers

Hey all, I was blessed by yesterday's lesson on worship.
Often, we are misled into thinking that worship is only something that is done in church.. must have music, full band... must have cool worship leader, dancer, cool action... etc. Worship thus becomes an object in itself..but no, worship is not the end. It's just the means to an end.

What is worship?
1. It's a natural reaction when we are amazed, dumbfounded, lost for words. Look around you. Look at the world He created. Recall ko Riky was showing us the majestic views atop mountains, waterfalls, across the seas, etc etc. Beautiful, isn't it?
It's like telling God 'Wowwwww.. what amazing things You have done in my life, God!' He sacrificed Himself on the cross, and that's not the end. He continued to love us, protect, guide & bless us to this day. Is there any gods like our God?

2. Remember the verse (John 4:23-24), God is not just looking for WORSHIP. He is looking for WORSHIPPERS who worship Him in spirit and in truth. Who are the worshippers? They are the people who worship. (Just like singers = ppl who sing, teachers = ppl who teach). Worship should be our lifestyle too. If worship is all about singing and music, we have no chance against talented artists out there, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston etc. If worship is all about dance, what about those who are physically less able, the paralysed, bedridden...? Worship should be our life. Not just on Sundays, in church, during church service. Worship should occupy us 24/7, Monday to Sunday. And no, I'm not talking about singing. It's to do with the attitude of our heart, our desire to glorify God and honour Him in all we do.

Let's worship God, teens. God loves our worship..

Well, Today's topic is Peer pressure
an example would be the story of Caleb and Joshua
Numbers 13: 30-31
Numbers 14:8-9

Peer Pressure is very common in these days especially this generation
Not only friends can pressure us, family, parents, teachers and even ourselves can put pressure on us(stress and such)
Joshua and Caleb also has pressures when the whole world is against them and no one is supporting them or believe in them
But they stick to their words and rely on God for strength and believe that everything is possible through God who strengthens them.

How to cope with peer pressure?

- Know your god( Quiet Time and Prayer)
-Know The truth( Study the Bible)
-Obey and trust God

Basically this summarise up everything about today

what we have learnt today:
REJOICE IN OUR SUFFERINGS!

WHYWHYWHY?:
Some of us wonder, why Lord do you have to choose me to suffer? i follow you, i do whatever you ask me to, but those who do not believe in you are having much happier lives than me. Lord, why? Then at this time, we would think that God is unfair, we start to lose our faith. But never think that way. Jesus loves us, he would never do harm to us. And everything he does is for a GOOD purpose. These might be the following reasons why God made you go through ordeals:- 1.He wants us to get moulded, and shaped.
2.He wants to prepare us for bigger things.
3.We are sinful by nature, as we are still on Earth.

These are all for our own good. Therefore, we must be positive and say, Lord, i;m am willing to suffer, mould me to who you want me to be. Use me as your servants, for bigger things in future. Prepare me for the good uses.

Romans 5:3
This verse taught us,
Sufferings->perseverance->character->hope.

The boy and his dad:
Acts 1:8. We all want our father's love more than anything else. There was a boy, his father worked so hard. His dad was always travelling. He did not spend time with the boy, and the boy yearned for his dad's time. His dad always tells him: Time is money. After hearing this, the boy went to work, got $10 and came back to his dad and said, dad, i wanna buy your time.

Lastly. 1Timothy 4:12 taught us:
DO NOT look down on yourself cause you are young.That does not mean you dont have the full ability to serve wholly. However, we should prove them wrong, and instead set the examples for others. Follow God even if it is tough. Narrow is the was to heaven and wide is the way to hell. Even if it is hard, we should rejoice our sufferings, and go through the narrow path to heaven! (:

Concluding:
Never give up in any problems. Dont lose faith in God, he never disappoints us, nor never hurts us. That's all for this week!

Yesterday's CELEBRATE was very fun right? Although it was soooooo hot and humid but we had alot of laughters and joy together and get to do alot of stuffs.. Get to watch concerts also
Great thing it did not rain thanks to the grace of Lord jesus that he gave us a nice weather yesterday for us to enjoy till 4 ^-^
Alot of foods and games also.. Those who didnt make it for the funfair.. awwwwwww Hope there will be another one and please come next time... I thought of not coming also and thought it would be a waste of time and then Steffi asked me to go with her together and I stayed at the fair longer than her... It was sooo fun
Anyway people, Drink lots of water since the weather is bad nowadays.. very hot then can all of a sudden rain pouring heavily.. Take care of yourselves and don't forget to keep in touch with God and continue your Quiet time and pray everyday...

today, the quiet time

ci harti stated the problems of not doing quiet time and the solutions

check out 1 Timothy 4.7b

TRAIN. remember this. koko Ivan didnt build up his muscles within 8 hours.

he prob took months or more than a year. he didnt start carrying 100kg at first.

likewise, we should start SMALL. plan our time carefully ! =]

start small. 10 mins, 15 mins, 5 mins also can. DONT START with 5 hours prayer.

probs of not doing quiet time

DONNO WHAT TO DO... (do sth! read, pray, sing, write!)

BORED... (make it interesting! play ur guitar, drums 0.o? cymbals?)

BUSY... (plan ahead, if u knw that u are BUSY then do it when u are free at any time of the day)

SLEPY? TIRED??? (w/ reference above, do it when uure not sleepy)

DISTRACTION... (move on to a quieter place =]

NOTHING HAPPENS... ='[ (STH HAPPENS when u do ur quiet time. it is not an immediate effect!)

GUILT ahah! (CONFESS!! and start NOW =]

today we learnt about quiet time.
ko donny told us all that to seek god first before we start our day.
and he also told us that the best time for quiet time is in the morning as we havent start our day.....we could thank the lord for the night and pray for our family and friend before we leave to school or work...Read up psalm 5:3
we all should not do quiet time forcefully,do it because you love god

Sermon/Bible Lesson 26/7-09: Save your Salvation

HI guys.. its TSH again
I'm here to post about today's bible lesson so you wont miss anything we hope
Today we learnt about salvations and the way to reach God

FOr those of you who dont know what is that weird thing, its called a Blackhole
It has a very strong gravity and sucks people in.. and destroys them and kill them and that person or thing will be gone
FOREVER.Even Light with the fastest travelling speed will be sucked in.
Scary isnt it?
This blackhole is like the satan or devil that is trying to suck us into their devilish world by Medias,Internets,Entertainments,Games, Movies and other things to reach out to us.
The devil will act as a gravity to pull us down and away from god.
You can read up on Isaiah 14:12-15 (The Fall Of Lucifer)
This verse basically tells you about how arrogant is Lucifer, once an angel and now a satan, was
He wants to be the Most high and Be greater than god and now he is a fallen angel
He swept 1/3 of the heaven's angel down to the pit of depths with him and now he wants to sweep god's children too
So be very careful guys..
We have to be watchful as Jesus is coming soon
We cant do sins all the time and take the last few minutes to ask for forgiveness
We wont know when we will be called back to heaven or when Jesus is coming right?
So do good to others
Also read on Acts 1:9-11
Jesus ascends to heaven with clouds and that will also be the way Jesus when he comes again
Be prepared my friends and do not be afraid..
Be God Pleasers and not the World Pleasers
Trust in him and believe in him
You have to save your crown which is Salvation and dont let anybody, especially the satan, to take it away from you
